ProgressOhio Fights Statehouse Blackout and LockoutProgressOhio has been at the front lines of the fight for access at the "People's House" in Columbus. When Statehouse Leaders locked thousands of Ohioans out in the cold while Lobbyists wined and dined Legisilators inside, ProgressOhio joined with others across the state of Ohio to sue the Statehouse and make sure they never lock the doors again. When Leaders of the House and Senate kept people out of committee hearings in order to keep their anti-worker agenda behind closed doors, ProgressOhio has been in the lead of working to end the Statehouse Blackout.
The people of Ohio deserve access to their House and ProgressOhio is fighting everyday to keep it open.
ProgressOhio to Gov. Kasich: Don't Frack Up Ohio!Gov. Kasich has said hydraulic fracking would be a ‘godsend’ for Ohio. He could not be farther from the truth. In reality, fracking will benefit out of state workers and corporations, create boom and bust local economies, jeopardize the public health of Ohioans, and disturb natural environments.
ProgressOhio has asked Ohioans to sign a petition: "Gov. Kasich Don’t Frack Up Ohio! Suspend all fracking in Ohio until the proper studies are done and safety regulations are in place!" Ohio lacks the strong and necessary regulations and to protect Ohioans and our natural environment. Once again, John Kasich is putting the profits of his rich CEO buddies ahead of the health and safety of everyday Ohioans.
